During the 19th century, many new sweets were invented including some of today’s much-loved favourites such as candy floss, liquorice allsorts, jelly babies, wine gums and marshmallows. Now you can see the process for yourself in The Sweet Manufactory.
Watch in awe and wonder as our expert confectioners create sweet treats in front of your very eyes – then sample the results with more than 30 fantastic flavours to choose from.
We make hard-boiled sweets in every imaginable flavour, from rhubarb and custard to our very own special Wight Mints. An irresistible selection of sweets is available to buy from the adjoining shop with something to suit everyone’s taste and budget.

A Great Family Day Out!
As we are a big family we bought the supersaver tickets to go on chairlift. This was amazing, I am not good with heights but it was very gentle and the views were stunning. Alum bay is gorgeous, we were lucky with the weather and spent about an hour on the beach...Lovely day out, something you should see if you go to the Isle of Wight
A must do when visiting Isle of Wight
We visited as a large family group and went on the cables cars down to the beach, this was great fun and we all agreed we would do it again on our next holiday.
A natural wonder!
What a stunning place, so beautiful in any weather. The views are incredible.
